Reloading 147 gr cast bullets in 9mm?
It's been years since I last tried cast bullets in a 9mm, the resulting mess in my barrel discouraged me from trying it again.
I've been wondering, though, if a 147 grain cast bullet loaded to 900-950 fps would lead the barrel as badly. Shooting out of a Springfield Armory XD9 Tactical.
Anyone tried such a load?"Never give up, never surrender!" Commander Peter Quincy Taggart

Re: Reloading 147 gr cast bullets in 9mm?
I have the 45th Edition Lyman Manual that lists a load using a 158 gr cast lead round nose bullet. So 147 gr bullet sounds possible. I suggest you slug your bore to get the right bullet diameter and don't go over 1000 fps to keep leading bore in check.
