.22LR Shopping...

Hey guys,

I've decided I'd really like to pick up a .22LR pistol.. Semi-auto, with a manual safety (not a huge deal, just a preference). The larger the capacity the better.

The best "bang for your buck" sums up my current budget.. I'd like to stay under or around $300.00-$350.00(MAX), so what in your opinion is the best option in that range?

So far I haven't found anything with a capacity more than 12 (with standard mags). What gives? Is there a reason for such low capacity? My 9mm holds 15 for crying out loud. What am I missing here?

I've been happy with our SR22 so far. Wife prefers the Mk III she used in our NRA class. We paid $300 in the spring. No idea what they are selling for now.

What kind (brand) of ammo do you run through it typically? I unfortunately have a ton of Remington that I run through my Marlin 60, and it's just disgustingly dirty and unreliable...

Also, I really like SR22... So far it's between the Walther P22 and the Ruger SR22 for me.. The SIG Mosquito is in the mix also..
