"Newtown United" Anti-Gun Social Media Groups Spreading to PA
This Lower Merion group was just on all the local Philly news stations.
The township allowed them to use the public library for a meeting with the anti-gun police chief and the anti-gun state rep. Tim Briggs.
Way to spend tax dollars!
They plan to use Facebook to start groups like this in all PA communities and they have a rally planned with CeaseFirePA in Harrisburg on Jan. 23rd.
Hopefully this won't gain traction. I know the General Assembly probably won't pass any new gun laws, but they will do what DC tells them to do for fear of loss of federal funds.
Social media can have a strong impact. Comment politely on their page if you wish. I see a few already did in support of our rights who saw them on the news.

EDIT: I note Lower Merion United just took down the open posting area of their Facebook page about an hour after I posted this. I guess they are not for a free and open debate by all sides.Last edited by tmg19103; January 6th, 2013 at 11:55 AM.

I believ the obamacare debate with SCOTUS wrote that it is illegal for the federal govt to withhold money from states just because the state doesn't agree with the Feds.

Nothing more than common hate groups.

Well, Lower Merion United has their comment section back up.
I guess it is in preparation for their leased bus trip to Harrisburg on the 23rd for the CeaseFirePA rally.
I know I will be there supporting the 2A. I hope we have these anti's outnumbered bigtime.
The fact that the entire metro Philly area of 5 million only needs a single bus (and may not fill it) shows how little support they have.

Maybe if you have time just show up each time they announce a meeting. Push idea's like ending the gun free zones. If enough of us show up each time they try to have meetings to counter their actions they will find even fewer followers.
