NRA Membership Numbers?

I was just curious if there is information on the amount of new members of the NRA as well as an overall count to date. I would really be interested to learn how favorably the membership has grown. I personally know alot of people who just signed up I am really interested in finding out.

Since its a private organization I'd doubt they will give an exact number. I wouldnt think they would want anyone knowing exactly how strong we are, nor allowing peoples status as a member becoming public information. Esp due to all the (likely empty) threats against NRA members.

Can't tell you what the numbers are, but I just spent almost 30 minutes on hold trying to upgrade my annual membership to life. I finally got through. I imagine they are slammed from the wait.
