Land...

I want to buy some land.
How much I'm not sure.
I'm fairly new to PA.
I'd like to get as far out in the woods as possible.
Electric, paved roads etc are unimportant.

Can any of you suggest some areas?

Ted Kaczynski did pretty well in Montana for a time.

Actually, I'm thinking of buying some land as a getaway and to shoot on. I was never able to find anything big enough that could also serve well as my primary residence located where I wanted to live. So I'm looking forward to the responses.

yep. the northcentral part of the state sounds like what you are looking for.

potter county. cameron county. tioga county. etc. lots of trees and not a lot of anything else.

just kidding, along Rt 6 N Central PA, but if you're from Manhatten, Harrisburg is the country.

Another good area is Sullivan Co. It is part of what is called the "endless mountains". I moved to Lycoming Co. 15 years ago, I was living in Philadelphia. The best move I ever made!
