Harrisburg Hope to host gun violence prevention forum
Grassroots community group Harrisburg Hope will host a community forum on the prevention of gun violence at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore at 6 p.m. on Jan. 9.
Titled "From Newtown to Harrisburg," the forum will feature legislators, educators, and law enforcement officials.
Panelists will include:
State Sen. Daylin Leach, D-Montgomery County.
State Rep. Patty Kim, D-Harrisburg.
Harrisburg School District Superintendent Sybil Knight-Burney.
First Assistant Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo.
The Midtown Scholar is at 1306 N. Third St.
Overheard Alan Kennedy-Shaffer saying that no republican legislators or NRA agreed to take part so it really might be one sided.

Mayor Thompson, a member of Mayors against Illegal Guns, is also going to attend from what I have been told.

I can't say what I think of Leach, I'm on probation for what I said about Feinstein...
