The main difference I can see between them and the ones you get at Palmetto is the weight. I did a weight comparison and they are much heavier than the DH ones from Palmetto and heavier than Pmags. I*ve used a couple at the range with no problems and they seem like they will last a long time, but that is only subjective opinion not based on any real data. For the price it*s worth stocking up in my opinion.

That's what you get for magazines made of steel rather than aluminum or polymer. Steel is cheaper and more durable than either of the other two material, but quite a bit heavier.

    https://www.steelcityammo.com/

Local Pittsburgh training business started selling ammo this year as well. No super deals here, but also not completely overpriced, and they've been regularly restocking.

Code AMMOCITY gets $20 off an order of $250 or more.

Got a notice from the pirates at Cheaper Than Dirt today for 9mm Tulammo at 17.29/box. Considering they wanted like $50 a month ago I think this is a good sign.

Quick question for a friend. Anybody have a source for extended magazines (more than 10 rounds) for a Springfield Armory XDS in .45 ACP?

It is ok if it isn't on sale, he just can't find any at all.

    Thanks!

I assume you would need to go the route of cheap or no-name aftermarket makers.
I looked at Promag since they usually offer stuff like 30 rd metal mags of questionable reliability.
Doesn't even look like THEY make something like that.

I assume that's some sort of sub-compact judging by the mags I DO see for them - they all have a plastic grip extension on the bottom.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Actually, I think he'd be willing to go retail if they offer it in that. I honestly don't see the point for what he wants to use it in, but hey, a good friend, you try and help out.

    Thank you!

I think what EM is saying is that, since Springfield doesn't make them (I checked, only up to 9 rounds capacity), he assumed, very reasonably, you would need to go through the aftermarket part route. Promag was the go-to source for such magazines, and Promag isn't exactly known for the quality of its products... it is known for varieties. He checked and there is none to be had.

I checked Triple K's website. Nothing there either.

    ^^^ This.

Tell him if he wants a subcompact 45 that can use a 30 rd mag, get a Glock.
