5 Pmags are not going to fit in the small and most likely just shove into the medium box even if it did fit in the medium it's not like their shipping mark up is out of control. Like I said earlier the flat rate costs went up significantly over the last 18 months and the choice of size of the box seems to be more limited now or they all shrunk. I used to sell and ship a lot of stuff and the prices were never like that. For me to send small padded envelope with a small kydex holster to Philly lat month cost almost $6.00 for regular parcel mail service. For me to send my father a large padded legal envelope last month that was under a half pound cost me about $10.00.
