I found some 5.56 at an LGS for 75 cents this week. Things are coming around but I'm just replacing what I shoot at this point...when/if prices come back down to Earth, I'll really stock up then.

Exactly.

Like stocks, you might see a 'level of resistance' coming down. A point at which many sitting on the sidelines will start buying and buoy the price at a given level for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if $.50 per round would be that point.

The peak I saw was around a buck a round, and it is in fact becoming available and at lower prices...

I have been watching prices and auctions on GB, along with ammo...seems people are tapped out or sick of the higher prices. Speaking for myself, I have not been buying anything, except for the pre-order on 9mm which came in at pre-scamdemic prices. I am not a buyer on anything until prices have dropped substantially.

It seems there are more deals going on now than recently...and I think many companies are seeing the slow down in purchases. Spartan Armor Systems has had two deals within the last month...right after they raised their prices another 15%. I have taken them off my list...fuck em.

I just wonder when ANY .380 will be in stock anywhere, at any price.

I guess all of the new gun owners took all of it. I have enough, but I can't restock what I practice with and haven't been able to for over a year.

Yep, the peak price for 5.56mm I have seen is at a dollar a round (like $19.95 per 20). Premium .223 hunting rounds went higher. I think PSA just earlier this month was asking for $39.95 for a box of 20 rounds of .223 ammo loaded with Varmageddon bullets.
