EDIT: ALMOST perfect. I do believe the FFL gives bad info at the end during the summary when he says that you can take a rifle that started as a rifle, and turn it into a pistol. I have never ever heard this being described as legal.

Didn't watch the video, but yes you can turn a rifle into a pistol/handgun - HOWEVER to do so you must do a BATFE Form 1 to do it and pay th $200 tax. I guess there might be a reason to it, but??

OK, good info, but as I watched, it sounded like he was saying that you can simply remove the stock and replace it with a brace, and add an upper with a barrel less than 16" and VOILA!!! a rifle is now a pistol!


I mean, I can see where one could slip up in the explanation - it's pretty convoluted - but before posting the info, it should be checked and quadruple-checked.

But that isn't what we're talking about, so let's try not to make it more complex than it already is.
