Since I'm dragging the thread off-topic a little anyways, will those weirdo looking mags work with both a needle-dick conversion kit and a dedicated 22LR upper? Or are there different mags for each?

Yes. That's what I said in my first reply - they are simply "22 AR15 mags" - not "conversion" mags - they work with both because they have nothing to do with the conversion/kit.

Any "Ciener style" mag works - that's what those 22LR BCGs are based on - a Ciener BCG/conversion.
Makers such as S&W and Colt, and various others use their own proprietary designs and thus, need proprietary mags.
These work (in general) with "all the rest".


Black Dog Machine 22LR AR15 mags are excellent and work in the same types of 22AR15s as these grey CMMG mags do.
(those grey mags ae not made by Arms Unlimited - they are CMMG mags)

Black Dog Machine also makes 50 rd drum mags - and they work very well!

I waited and waited, and waited, but I could no longer ignore what a freaking STEAL this is.
I placed an order on Thursday, May 25th. I received NO email confirmation after placing the order.
OK, I did read that they manually enter these, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, and I had to consider that it was leading into Memorial day weekend, so...

Well, I did get an email with a "shipped" notice today (29th - Memorial day) and a USPS tracking number.
Obviously it hasn't shipped yet, but at least I did get this far. Will update when they arrive. (or not)

Arrived today!
7 days from order - with a holiday weekend in there.
Not bad really considering shipping was only $5.95

These are absolutely CMMG mags.
I compared to the ones I have and they are identical in every single way - aside from color.
These are more of a brownish-grey with orange follower and my old ones are a light grey with a green follower.

I have never seen these priced anywhere NEAR this low before and I'm very glad I finally decided to order some.
