Good point. I could buy one of those goofy bullpup semi-autos for what that upper costs if I really wanted a shotgun.

It's one of the best .22lr pistols to come out in the past few years. I love mine. I take it to the range all the time. New shooters love it because it's light, easy to manipulate, and fun as hell.

After reading and watching several reviews on the P-17, I decided that it's basically a no lose situation. The only other .22 lr. pistol I own is a Heritage Rough Rider and I'm not all that fond of it. For <$250 otd, I'm in! I've got plenty of .22 ammo and enjoy my Savage .22 bolt gun but a nice lightweight plinker that shoots sub-$.10/pr ammo is worth taking a chance at this price.

Not bad

Handguard/rear sight, BCG and charging handle are about $145 in extras vs a bare bones $200 M4-style handguard upper without those items.
