Friend of mine is trying to start a business making displays for firearms. Some of you might have met him at the pittsburgh or harrisburg ralky last year. He's from NY, so forgive the NY legal AR abominations in the pictures.

He's just starting out, so hopefully he'll have some more products soon.

I believe I remember the guy. He seemed like a good guy if I have the right one and those guns are hard to look at.

I could add a BCG for around $120, Romeo for $120m some cheap flip-up sights and a LPK for $40 and have my pistol done for about $630. Have the lower already.

No personal experience.
Not a bad price, but parts are of unknown origin/quality.
I believe you were dismissing such kits in the past as not being as trustworthy as PSA.

Personally, I would pass unless budget is a serious concern.
You know that I'm on a tight budget and even I would pass on all these entry level, "mystery kits".
I would rather it take a little more time and money and buy the parts I want instead.

Looking at a side charger from BCA too. Are they a reliable company? I've always toyed with the idea of a side charger, seems like fun.

Yeah I just found a thread on AR15.com saying it's cheap Chinese crap. Pass.

Budget is a variable. Trying to finish my pistol at a decent cost, not necessarily dirt cheap though, I do want acceptable quality.

My friend built a rifle from them about a year ago. He doesn't shoot that much but he's been happy with his. I shot it once and I hit what I was aiming at. I know that's not much, but it's something.

I would say BCA is "fair". I'd choose them over the unknown.

They're the ones who were busted with the illegals working for them a few years ago.
Claimed they didn't know. Not sure what happened with that, but clearly still in business.

The gen 2 side charger design looks like a welcome improvement over the gen 1.
