wow, I didnt think they made a mower with interference blades.

Yeah, "timed blades". They slightly overlap each other so one is set "across" and other "up and down" if viewing from bottom.that way they don't hit as they spin.The upside is a better cut.The downside is what happened. If the secondary belt breaks they spin freely and... CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!Fortunately I had a spare set of new blades already.The two blades run $75.The ones they took off weren't salvageable.At least no other damage occurred to the mower and more importantly, nothing came flying out from under the deck and hit me, another person, or a house.I have a mulch kit installed so the discharge chute is blocked.

I always go up to the "free Shipping' Tab and get the baliyo pen refills. They are $0.59 and they will reduce the shipping cost to next to nothing. That is the cheapest free ship item I have found that will do this.

  It took about $3 off, but shipping for my one $16 item and the refill is $10.79 as opposed to $2.60 with the $10 knife I had in the cart before.

Awesome that is good to know. I use Midway quite a bit but it is usually large orders
