I did it. It took me HOURS of back and forth - I always feel so guilty about spending money on things I don't "need".
I just couldn't let this pass me by yet again. I've been putting these in the cart when they go on sale for a few years now and never going through with it.

To put it in context, I paid $90 for the previous Cav Arms lower about 7 years ago ON CLEARANCE. And THAT was a good price!

I debated ordering the already assembled lower, but I can save about $30 by installing the LPK it myself.

You made out better buying from Brownell's than you would have with me. Even if I was willing to part with my BLEM Ke Arms lower - which I'm not - you would have paid more. I don't mind paying more for FTF sales. It's worth the extra monies to me. I just know that there are some guns that are simply unlikely to be found for sale that way, so if I want it bad enough, I gotta break my rule and do the FFL transfer.

I REALLY want to build a clone of the lightweight I built for my wife, but for now, I'll just slap the PSA pencil barrel upper I bought a few years ago onto it, and call it "close enough for now".

My fear (and ultimate reason for going through with the purchase this time) is that these could become unobtainium as a result of the lawsuit.
I certainly hope not, but better get it while I know I CAN and while it's a great deal.

Where are you getting $10 ffl fee? Cheapest I've seen is $25 and it goes up to $100.

If you are close enough to make it worth it to you, Gators Guns Shamokin Dam does $10 transfers for anything you order off the internet. Myself and everybody I know that uses him always makes it a point by a couple boxes of ammo while we're picking up an internet order.
