Good for someone who doesn't want to look around.

I pulled up a calculator and built that on paper for about 800(ish) using the same parts - only guestimating the cost of the barrel and handguard.
PSA is no longer the "deal king", unfortunately.

It's nice that you CAN still build your own for less.
Provided you can find a barrel and BCG you WANT in stock.
Beggars can't be choosers these days.

All I can say is that if you WANT an AR, GET one while you can still afford one. They haven't gone up in price SO much that they are unobtainable yet.

Still cheaper to build than buy...from what I am seeing it’s anywhere between 25%-50% less to build

Nobody is a "deal king" right now really.
And I suspect deals won't be actual deals for approaching a decade. That's my prediction.

Yuuuppp. Out the door for well under $300 if you did it right. Even PSA was near $300 on a basic setup. That and $28 blemished Anderson lowers. Hopefully we find ourselves back there one day.

Sportsmans warehouse in washington PA has Rem reduced recoil 00 for $6.49 limit 2. Tons of 9mm for 11.99-16.99 a box of 50. Some 45, 380, and 10mm at good prices. All limit 2 boxes. Cabelas in wheeling had 22LR 525 federal for $29.99 limit 1, and federal powershok 00 for 6.99 limit 4. They also had decent priced pistol ammo in small quantities, limit 4. Bring disguises so you can go in and out a few times. Cabelas had 9mm and 45 bullets for reloading.
