What do you guys think...? Is there better value in buying a Completed Lower with or without magpul gear on PSA or buying a stripped lower from AIM and then building it up?

PSA has $130 complete lowers and $150 magpul complete lowers. This is the lowest I ever seen.

Good question. The Magpul fore end is OK, but I don't like that cheap, rattle-prone Magpul stock so that setup never appeals to me - I'd want a MFT Minimalist stock.

I'd like to see them start offering bare bones sets for a few bucks less - ones you can add the furniture of your choice instead of paying for things you will just throw out.

Not a aluminum lower but it is a Windham and a flat top.

    Free shipping to boot.

I got that Minimalist stock as well to replace the Magpul, for weight basically (looks better too). There is a trick to get rid of that rattle on the Magpul though. Put a square inch or so of velcro (the fluffy piece, sticky-glue on back side) into and on the wall of the female aspect of the stock and then insert the buffer tube. The rattle will be gone and the stock is more firmly gripped to the buffer tube. It can be slightly too stiff to maneuver at first, but there are ways around that, and I didn't change the length too often anyway. I did this, and it makes it feel more like a quality piece. No rattle whatsoever.

If it's the Magpul SL stock they are nice, tight fit with a nice cheekweld. They have become my favorite Magpul stock.

Agreed. The SL stock is very tight on my mil spec buffer tube. It has two internal metal springs that keep tension on the tube.
