I'll always give them the benefit of the doubt, at first. But just because you're a vet, senior citizen, handicapped, etc., doesn't preclude you from being an asshole.

That's what I was thinking... stolen valor.

Too many times losers will just dress the part of someone they wish they could have been.

Or, maybe he's just watched too much of the liberal Legacy Media (once known as the "Main Stream Media").

IANAL. I don't give legal advice. I'm only stating my OPINION.
(Did I really need to say that on an Internet forum? LOL)

Dont forget he could be a Drafted Vet, who would have never even thought of enlisting under his own free will.

Either way, you handled yourself well. He also expressed his opinion in what seems to be a professional manner, regardless of how we see it.

Wioth all the great Veterans out there we have douchbags as well.
Being in the military myself, I feel the ratio of d-bags to non-d-bags isn't much different than in the civilian population. Also, some soldiers are great people when in uniform, and complete shitheads when not in uniform.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I'd rather them not creep up behind me and give it to me unsolicited.

Older guy - Did he carry a gun?

Me - Nope he minded his own business.

He got a really pissed off look on his face and I walked away.

I had 2 uncles that saw a lot of actio in WW2. One became an avid hunter and outdoors man avid gun collector, the other never owned or touched a fire arm ever again. Both were great men. Just different.

I spent a year and a half in Vietnam. Handled more bodies than I care to remember. Spent another twenty years in the Army, at least seven of them on General Staff.

You want to CC or OC? Go for it.

You don't want to carry at all? Go for it.

Me? I generally OC, but it's wintertime so I'll wear something warm.

Others? Well, that's up to them.
