Default My daughter made me very proud today.

Earlier today I got to talking with her about all the stuff that has been going on recently. I asked her if she thought it was right to ban or possibly confiscate certain types of guns. She replied, "No, we didn't do anything wrong." She has been shooting with me since she was 5 years old. At the age of 20 she does not spend as much time with me as she used to. So I was interested to where she stood on this issue. I asked if see would be interested in joining the NRA and she said yes. Within minutes she had the online application filed out and had her membership paid for.

So we headed down to the LGS. It seemed like the thing to do. She bought her first gun today. A Mossberg 535. She has the guns that I bought her when she was young. But this one is the first she bought for herself.

I was so proud of her when I got home I told her she could have any rifle she wanted out of my safe for her upcoming birthday. She took my Polish AK.

Folks, it was a good day!

Note to self, put the beaters in front of the safe before giving my kids a choice...
Honey, sell my guns for what they're worth and not what I told you I paid for them.

Hell with Dad, GOOD FOR DAUGHTER!! That'll teach you about teaching your kids to distinguish quality firearms!

Maybe if you're really, really nice to her (like buying her a brand spanking new Mustang 5.0 nice) she'll let you shoot it once in a while, ha ha ha!

Good to see more gun owners out there, you did your job as a father and raised her right, and apparently it stuck with her, hopefully this will be her first of many guns to own
Nice gun too, i like my Mossberg

Thankyou no. I was hoping to be the recipient of the 5.0 Mustang. I'd be happier with a new pick-up though.

That's great, congratulations. My daughter is turning 18 this month and has the same thoughts and opinions as your daughter. It's great to see young adults not swayed by liberal anti's. I know a good chunk of her friends are caught up in the frenzy and like I'm sure your little girl does ( they will always be our little girls no matter how old ) she straightens them out !

What? You taught your daughter to shoot, how dare you. Most likely you now will never know the joy of her out causing trouble, drinking, truancy. I jest of course, our club has a junior trap program. We hold them to high standards for grades, behavior etc.. These are some of the best behaved kids, good grades and very well mannered. The have to be or cannot participate. Teach a kid to shoot and they learn responsibility, good citizen ship and respect.

    Good Job.....
