Re: Georgia Sheriff rejects anti-liberty stance
GOOD FOR HIM... at least ONE Sheriff understands the Constitution and the rights of NON-LEO people to own firearms.

I sent an email to the sheriff thanking him. Its nice to see law enforcement standing up for the 2nd amendment.

I sent a thank you email as well. I'm sure he will catch some flak for his stance so I wanted him to be aware he has supporters.

Just thanked him as well, from both Mrs. Lexington and myself! He's a law enforcement officer cut from the same cloth as my father.
I hope Sheriff Weaknecht here in Berks County has similar views.

Re: Georgia Sheriff rejects anti-liberty stance
I actually received an email back from Sheriff Scott Berry. That took me by surprise. He thanked me for my email and provided a response he received from an anti. See quote below, love the intelligent anti argument. When you don't have good facts, just attack with a verbal blitz.
"I read what you decided to do when DSS decided not to sell self loading weapons to the general public. If you think your little agency is gonna break them you are mistaken. But... you damned well better hope one of your deputies isn't killed or wounded by a bad guy with a self loading weapon. You really are a jerk and I don't know how you got elected but I sure hope they get rid of you next time around. You are exactly the low mentality person we do not need in charge of anything."

Re: Georgia Sheriff rejects anti-liberty stance
He sent a reply back to me, as well:
"God Bless you, and thank you for your kind words…..
I do remember my oath, and I always will….."
God bless him!
And for the anti that sent him that nasty e-mail... Dang, it sounded like he was practically salivating at the thought of one of the Sheriff's deputies going home in a body bag.
It's all about their agenda to them. Casualties are just a means to an end.
