Extreme heat & extreme cold effect on ammo?

I'm thinking about keep a spare gun in my car in a bolted down strong box. However, I'm concerned about how the reliability of the ammo might be effected when exposed to sub-freezing temps in the winter and 100+ degrees in the summer. Thoughts? Ideas?

Pretty simple.
Wet bad.Powder does not burn well,primers do not ignite.

Cold,dry OK.Worst thing is ammo loses a little velocity.Weapon should be free of oil.Lube with kerosene if you must for auto weapons

Hot ,dry,not OK.Powder breaks down,primers become insensitive.

Hot,wet,really bad.Powder clumps together,priming compound breaks down,dissolves.

Kerosene?? How about just use a gun lube that is rated for below freezing temps?

G96 or Ballistol for example. G96 is good for 50F below zero to 350F

Ballistol Freeze Point is -17 Centigrade, or 1.7F, Boiling Point of 262F (straight from the MSDS) Ballistol is also non toxic and much safer than Kerosene.
