PICS System overload
I was wondering if anybody else was experiencing delays in processing PICS checks, yesterday I was told the sheriff would mail the LTCF because the PICS was so overloaded with firearm sales and LTCF requests that the system was down. Myself and about 12 other applicants were sent away without permits being issued yesterday afternoon.

Re: PICS System overload
I bought two AR's on Tuesday...(yep a little panic here.... not afraid to admit it) It took almost an hour for them to get through. Rifles are flying off the shelves, Altra firearms in Jackson Center sold everything in one day (I believe)! They had racks full of AR's and AK's. Everyone is prepping for the ban that in all honesty, we all know is coming. I went back to Altra yesterday for a part for one of my sights and the place is still packed! Now, everything else is going! It's a frenzy out there! I have never seen anything like it in my life..... So, yes pics is overloaded....... and probably will be for some time.
You can't fix stupid....... So I try to ignore Liberals!

Re: PICS System overload
I was in a shop yesterday (Anthony Arms) and saw a salesman sitting next to the phone they use for PICS checks and it was a busy signal the whole time I was there...redial...busy...redial....busy....
Other things noticed: Cases were considerably depleted. Prices of product they had looked to be bumped a little higher than I remember. (ie. I paid $540 msrp for a G19 in May....they had a used G19 for that price and new ones for $585)
Also btw....I went downstairs to the range to see what they might have to rent....(still love that Colt 1911) but the cases were empty. Guy at the counter said the range is open but there'll be no rentals until after the 1st of the year. (?)

Re: PICS System overload
Guys try to go in the AM right when the shop opens. I bought a shotgun at Dicks at 8am right when they opened and the check took 10 minutes. Thats my advice...
