Cities and local municipalities will cry broke, and this will open the door for the federal government to put TSA in ALL our schools. Bet me. After all, "never let a crisis go to waste" (False-Flag Attacks). Exploit the fears and make up "boogeymen" and have "we the people" BEG for our rights to be taken away (think Patriot Act). I have NEVER supported the NRA. I see them as COINTELPRO. They claim to be the voice of American gun owners, but all I've seen them do is whittle away the rights of law-abiding citizens in the form of compromises. I refuse to allow my fate to be dictated by words on paper written by a few silly men in suits, and supported by the docile workforce who merely exist to consume. All "conspiracies" aside, there is NOTHING they can do when 100 MILLION responsible gun owners stand together, regardless of what the NRA proposes in the form of compromise, and "just say NO". THERE CAN BE NO COMPROMISE IN HOW WE CHOOSE TO PROTECT OURSELVES AND OUR FAMILIES.

If the politicians in Washington take the NRA's advice, we'll soon have a "School Safety Administration" which, much like the TSA, provides nothing more than an illusion of security at huge cost in dollars and inconvenience.

No its because a lot of gun owners are so short sighted that they will not support any effort, but one that exactly pushes their agenda.

The problem is that a lot of gun owners would support an AWB... many gun owners are only hunters, and have no interest in protecting the 2A for any other reason.
