Maybe everyone is more concerned that the students get rubbers and shit. Maybe they don't want the chaos stop. If violence in schools stops as a result of putting armed guards there, then they gotta wait for something else to get shot up; maybe a laundry mat or something.

They did a great job phrasing this poll.

Many pro-gun people wouldn't think it's necessary to put cops in every school. Since this crap is less than a 1 in a million risk. So they would vote either "No" or "Not Sure." And both of those votes would be counted as anti-gun by the pollsters.

I can imagine that a lot of people would not want their young children to have to see a gun carrying police officer in the hall ways of their school everyday.

And have to explain to them just why they are there.

Standard sheeple thinking that this can't happen here maybe?

That poll is BS. All you have to do is clear your browser cookies and refresh the page and you can vote again. Rinse and repeat. Wonder how many of the no votes are multiple's. LOL, probably the same way Obama got elected for a 2nd term.

Edit: I voted yes three times, once for each member of my household...

On another thread I wrote that they ( cops or guards ) should be in suits. This way if a BG approached him thinking it was an unarmed teacher he would get a big surprise. Also need to watch the kids on the playground.

I'd be happy to tell my kids that 'they are there to keep you safer'. I'd also be happy to tell the other countries that 'we didn't become pussies and fold'. 'We made our schools safer and we kept our guns'.

Sorry, but this NRA proposal to put armed guards or officers in schools is stupid beyond words. It's just another step down the road to an full-fledged police state. There's nothing like armed guards in schools to get the kiddies ready ready to submit and obey after they graduate. Or to prepare them for the adult version of school, i.e., prison. Thanks, NRA. Awesome idea.

All that needs to be done is to eliminate gun-free zones so that people (teachers, administrators, staff) can legally carry in school.

I agree. I would have voted no. I do not think that is the answer. I think the answer is to lift the restriction on law abiding people being able to carry in schools.

I do not want to put the police anywhere except on patrol.
    Some people just plain suck.
