Re: Rock Island Armory RIA M1911 1A-FS - POLISHED Nickel .45ACP
Wow, that is gorgeous! I am so jealous because when I bought my RIA, I wanted a finish like that but they only had parkerized models. Since then, I haven't found a chrome or other "silvery" variant that I can trade in for without taking a big loss.
WAAAAANT!!!Everyone should have an AK-47

Re: Rock Island Armory RIA M1911 1A-FS - POLISHED Nickel .45ACP
First, that blingy 1911 is sweet! Congrats on the deal.
Second, I had the same experience with my inexpensive ATI 1911. The 230 gr hollow points set down just low enough to cause the lip of the hollow points to get caught on the feed ramp. I changed mags and poof.. all good."The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."

Re: Rock Island Armory RIA M1911 1A-FS - POLISHED Nickel .45ACP
It's been at least that long since I've purchased a handgun. I THOUGHT my next handgun was going to be a CZ75, but this was too good to pass up.
While seeking info on RIA I see that they make a "compact" model AND a 9mm... hmmm....
Well, one is a start anyway. Thanks!
Thanks, man.
When I was looking to see what these were worth, I didn't run across ANY polished ones that were currently listed on auction sites and the new ones I found were in the $550+ range.
Like I said, I was mostly sold on it based on price alone, and I didn't even know it was the polished model until he sent me a text with a photo.
Thank you.
Thanks. That's what I'm hearing about mags. I'm completely new to the 1911 platform, so any tips on mags for these, or anything for that matter, are welcome.
What mags worked for you?
