Default Inaccuracies in the NFRTR (NFA Related)

As some of you may know, I have worked on a legal Article, for submission to a Law Journal, for about 6-8 months now. I have made some new allies and some info of which I leaked to NFAOA and Ryan Horsley (Reds Trading Post). The Article reviews the NFA from the beginning to the end, including the Congressional Hearings from the late 1970's to the present, and the current legal issues. While it is not for the faint of heart (90 some pages), I wanted to make it available to my brethren. I have submitted it to several Law Journals for possible publication. If they choose to publish it, I will have to pull it off the site because of contractual obligations with regards to publication.

For the time being, since the site isn't allowing me to upload it, you will find it at http://www.princelaw.com/assets/2008...ue_Process.pdf.

    Great information.

The most chilling comment was as follows: "The indirect consequences of BATF's conduct will not be so readily apparent but are potentially devastating. All across the country assistant U.S. attorneys, U.S. district judges, and other Federal and local law enforcement officials are going to learn what most defense lawyers and gun dealers have known for years and what the aftermath ofWaco and Ruby Ridge starkly illustrated: BATF officers and agents lie, dissemble, and cover up on an institutionalized basis. These are not aberrations; they are an institutional ethic, an organizational way of life. Just who is the criminal in these cases?" [emphasis added].

When our gov't undertakes criminal acts under the auspices of fighting crime, the gov't promotes anarchy. It's a disgrace that the same gov't that sends our youth into harms way to protect our liberty takes our liberty from us without a second thought here at home. The BATFE agents involved in the unsupported prosecutions should find themselves prosecuted for conspiracy to deny civil rights under 18 USC section 241. The BATFE agent who advised his colleagues to lie about the accuracy of its records should be prosecuted for obstruction of justice.

    My favorite comment is:

"If the court should discover that our [BATFE] negligence caused an unwarranted arrest and trial, the resultant loss of public trust would be irreparable. Just as serious is the possibility that an innocent man might be convicted if he could not find his registrant form and we certified that he had not registered the firearm when, in fact, we had failed to locate his registration in the Record [NFRTR]."

The NOT so funny part is this basically happened to Mr. Napolilli (found a copy of the paperwork before a trial) and nothing changed...

I, personally, advocate bringing back the charge of Treason that is up to a death penalty case.

If you are a gov't official, in the military, or an officer of the law; and you abuse your powers at citizen's expense, one of the charges that you should face is treason.

Even if you get off with a slap on the wrist punishment, that treason monniker should follow you around.

But I guess I am old fashioned.

Thumbs up Re: Inaccuracies in the NFRTR (NFA Related)

    TaePo,

Please put me down for a " Second the Motion " on the Treason notion.

Old fashioned or not ... whats right is right !

I am also of the notion that upon each and every " Vote " by a Representative of the People, that the Representative be verbally reminded ... " You are Under Oath Sir/Madam, to uphold and protect the Constitution and the People you serve " !

Nice work SFL! I downloaded it, I'll read it more in detail when I have time. Positive rep already given, keep up the good work.

I'd like to get my hands on this article, but the original link doesn't work for me. Is it broken? Can anyone help me get it?
