Listening to the radio at work... New Pa law?

So I was listening to IQ 106.9 at work,
I heard one of the stupid commercials of the hosts talking and they were saying a handgun or pistol needs to be transferred but an AR 15 does not!? Happy Birthday here's an AR 15! Really?!

I see a new law coming that will hit PA with required ffl transfers on long guns... I hope I am wrong, but with everyone jumping on the damned band wagon....

Thinking about getting an AR myself in the light of recent events. It has become apparent that the personal preference of some is quickly on its way to becoming the law of the land. And I find this to be absolutely abhorrent, personaly.

A transfer of a long gun or shotgun between private individuals does not need to go through a FFL in PA (and some other states) as long as both are PA residents and not prohibited.

I know this, I am worried about it becoming a law of where it would have to be transferred through an ffl.

Do you REALLY care if long guns need to go through an FFL? If thats all they do, id be happy. Id live with a $20 transfer fee if I had to

YES, we care.

We care any time any unnecessary restriction is placed on firearms.

Of all the things that could change this is the least of my worries. Plus, its not a restriction on the firearm, just how it changes hands. I personally think its a good thing since its basically up to the honor system to know the person you are selling to isnt restricted

You - like many of the other people posing as staunch supporters of the 2nd Amendment, who really aren't... just don't get it.

The lack of paper trail is what keeps the ability to go door kick and confiscate to a vast unknown. Rendering it a useless endeavor.

Registration, then confiscation.

That is how this works. This so called honor system gives just enough gray area to make such a move fruitless. And if you think that is an impossibility. Let me assure you - it certainly IS. But because - there is no way to track all of these guns efficiently BECAUSE ftf transfers exist.

You can't be partial 2A. Lukewarm doesn't get you anywhere. The anti's always come FULL force and without facts. Those half in and half out are the weak links in the chain.

"common sense" gun laws are absent of common sense. None of the restrictions effect ANYONE but LAW ABIDING citizens. Criminals will just sell the stuff ftf anyway.

So what does passing such a law do?

Nothing.
