Re: Pros & Cons: Browning Buckmark
Are you talking about the .22 lr?
I bought one many years ago. I like the feel and it shoots nice but mine does not like to shoot alot of rounds. After three or four magizines it starts to jam, fail to fire and general ejector problems. I think It does not like to be dirty.

Re: Pros & Cons: Browning Buckmark
Easier to clean than the Rugers, though not as durable.
Good trigger on the Browning, but we send more of them back than we do Rugers. LockTite the screws, and take care of it, and it should serve you well.

Re: Pros & Cons: Browning Buckmark
I've had a 22 cal. Micro Buckmark for over 5 years and can't say anything bad about it. Two of my friend liked it so much that they both bought one. Put Hi-Viz sights on it along with laminated wood grips... Looks good and shots good.

Re: Pros & Cons: Browning Buckmark
No complaints on mine, I did have an issue with a trigger spring, but that was my fault.

Re: Pros & Cons: Browning Buckmark
The screws on the sight bridge tend to work loose, leading to misfeeds. Use a bit of service-removable Loc-Tite and they'll stay put.
There are three kinds of people in this world....them what's good at math and them what ain't.

Re: Pros & Cons: Browning Buckmark
I have a 7" Buckmark Bullseye. I use it for 50' bullseye competition. I've put at least 10,000 rounds through it. I also have a Ruger MkII. Both have been very reliable, but I think the Buckmark is a better gun. The only jams I get are FTF when it's too dirty.
If your gun doesn't have the overtravel adjustment screw in the trigger, it's a nice option. Greatly improves the trigger feel. - http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/sto...,%20ADJUSTABLE
Keeping the screws on the sight base tight will prevent many problems. Little bit of blue loctite goes a long way.
The Buckmark is also much easier to break down for cleaning than the Ruger.
