Default Stag Arms not taking orders for uppers

Was just on the stag site. As of yesterday, you cannot request an upper to be sent to a FFL dealer! I guess the dealer has to order.

Just to be clear, the op states upper. The website states lower. That is why it seemed strange, as an upper does not require an FFL, a lower does.

I am sure they want to satisfy the dealers requests. This way the general public buys through their dealers. Makes sense to me.

Be safe (and below the upper and above the lower).

They're probably sold out like everyone else.

As of yesterday, DSA had their Spartan lower in stock for $136 shipped. I don't know of any others in stock.

AR parts dealer hysteria or cowardice?

The hysteria is without doubt also spreading into the realm of the AR parts sellers. A little over a week ago, I ordered a Fail Zero Nickel-Boron bolt-carrier-group F/A kit from an outfit in Washington state calling itself "Surplus & Ammo". At the time, their WEB site listed at least five different BCGs "IN STOCK".

Did the order online for the Fail Zero kit with a total of about $230 with shipping. A couple of days later an Email "Order Status Update" was received with UPS tracking number stating that the item had been "shipped". I was happy as a clam! That notice arrived last Wednesday. For a few days now, it was seen that the Fail Zero BCG kit / UPS shipment had not moved at all. Yesterday, I had a hunch that something had changed.

Popped onto the Surplus & Ammo WEB site last night and noted that all of the 5.56 NATO caliber bolt carrier groups were no longer shown or listed. Then this morning I received an Email message stating that the item ordered and all BCGs were "OUT OF STOCK". Though I purchased the item, made payment in full, it was said to have been packaged and shipped with tracking number, it did not happen. The way I figure it, in the legal sense that item was my property. Instead, these people apparently decided to re-neg on the deal for reasons not defined.

Needless to say, I declined their offer of a store credit + $10 and instead requested the funds credited back to my debit card. As soon as that money gets back into my bank, I will cancel-out the Surplus & Ammo buyer account and put that outfit onto my blacklist.

So . . . it would appear that AR parts dealers are already caving-in and reacting to political and media hysteria.

I'm sure they are just out. Stag is a great company.
