4 months later still no letter?
Hello, I made an account on here just to see if i can get some help or answers. Back in august I went to purchase my first handgun and I was placed in "research" status during the background check and have to wait the 14 or 15 day period. After the waiting period I was told my attempted purchase was "Undetermined". So I then followed the gun dealers directions and filled out and mailed the challenge form. I have been waiting since august 18th and still no letter. So I guess my question is what do I do if the letter never comes? If it was going to come would it have already? and should I/ or could I try to purchase another firearm? THanks

Re: 4 months later still no letter?
A reply should have come months ago. I would follow up with the PSP. Send a letter asking what is going on (reference everything you can remember) and send the letter either certified or at least return receipt so you know it got there. It is possible that the original challenge got misrouted by the USPS and the PSP never got it, or it got put into someones mail and they forgot about it or it got tossed out for some reason. You might also try calling the PSP Firearms Unit in Harrisburg to see if they know anything.
