Can I buy in PA?
Hi all, I was in a walmart the other day and was going to buy a 12ga 28" shotgun.. When I gave the guy my DL he said I can't sell you anything.. His little map said the FL is red so... Anyway, For the most part I know the laws for my state as well as a few others I end up in. I've held a FFL a few years back and had a CCW and own about 12 handguns.. I only have 1 long arm (a .22 plinker) and wanted to start doing some hunting.. Is PA different then other states? I know I can't buy a handgun unless I want them to ship it to a FFL in FL but I thought I could buy a long gun in just about any state..
So the short question is: Can a guy from FL buy a shotgun in PA from a FFL?
oh, I was in East stroudsburg if that makes any differences

Re: Can I buy in PA?
I would say yes. Long guns can be transferred at an FFL in either state
You'd have an issue though since you wouldn't be allowed to carry it in PA currently

Re: Can I buy in PA?
When I pick it up I should have no issues transporting it in my trunk from the dealer to home.. the hunting licence (once I get it) should allow me transport rights as well.. (if I remember right)
Oh, I'm also getting a new CCW but FL takes it's sweet time getting it to you..Last edited by flguy; December 10th, 2012 at 01:52 AM.

Bloomberg probably told them not to.

Re: Can I buy in PA?
As told to me from a ffl. Pa can only sell to those residents of ajoining states long guns with out the transfer. A ohio resident can buy a long gun in PA. Pistols must be transefered to a ffl unless a PA resident. Florida is not a state sharing PA borders so the long gun has to be transfered to ffl in your state
