In other business Thursday, supervisors voted to rewrite the rule prohibiting township park patrons from carrying weapons, out of concern that the language violates the Second Amendment right to bear arms.
The rule will be rewritten to prohibit discharging weapons in parks.

Solicitor Andrew Schantz said the revision covers all types of weapons, from bows and arrows to firearms, and would specify that only people licensed to carry would be allowed to do so.
