    Default Bersa BP9cc review

    Ordered from www.galleryofguns.com on a somewhat drunkin' Sat night and arrived to my FFL Mon morning. Slim, single stack 9mm, 8+1, 2 mags included, Glock cut rear dovetail sight, ambi mag release. A single stack Glock? Perhaps....

    Picked the gun up and straight to the range with a WWB value pack. After stripping the gun, cleaning, and a light lube, I went to work. Mixed drills, double taps, two "mag dumps," and some El Presidente, went without a single hiccup. The trigger is light and has a great, short reset. I wish the actual trigger were more slim, but overall a great effort. Accuracy was spot on but the ambi mag release felt extremely gritty and somewhat difficult to compress. Hopefully this will smooth out.

    Heres the BP9cc next to a G19 and a 1911 with VZ's excellent slim line Operator II's...

    I'm not going to carry it, YET, but I found a Uncle Mike's size 36 (for a J frame) fits this gun well. Holster selection is very poor for this gun.....

    Pros;
    - $409 out the door
    - More than "combat accurate"
    - Reliable (so far)
    - Very slim grip, but remains easy to shoot
    - Light trigger with short, felt reset
    - Accessory rail for blenders and such
    - Glock compatible rear sight means more choices
    - LCI is not intrusive

    Cons;
    - Stupid, stupid, stupid magazine "safety" won't allow the gun to fire without mag
    - The grip, while slim, is very smooth and is in need of stippling
    - Poor aftermarket accessory choices
    - I don't like "key operated" devices that allow the gun to remain inoperable
    - Slide stop/ release is sharp at some points. Will be fixing with the file.

    Great review, and that pic of the grips of 3 guns gives an idea of the width in comparison to what guns other people here may have.

    Thanks.
    Government 99 and 44/100 % pure bullshit.

    It's nice to see another favorable review of this gun. We picked one up for my wife three months ago and I've been very impressed with it. I posted a pictorial review.

    I compared it to my PPS since there are a lot of similarities.

    ^^^ What do you think of the grip? It seems very slick to me compared to my Glocks and/or M&P's....

    I shot it a few times and it didn't bother me much but I'll probably put some grip tape on it.

    My wife had been using my G26 with extended mags and kept telling me she liked it but wished it was slimmer. That's how we stumbled onto the BP9. By the way, Dawson Precision sells tritium and fiber optic front sights for this gun. We may get her a FO at some point soon.

    Wholly crap! That Glock grip is as thick as my USP 45 grip.
    BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

    I suppose this feature is subjective, but I can think of more reasons to have it than to not. The chances of someone ever getting in a gun fight are like 7000 to 1, or something like that. Being in a position where you lose your magazine and need that one round and it turns out to be a perfect stop or kill shot makes those odds go up ten fold. I'd rather count on making sure my gun is reliable before taking it into the field and having the mag with back up shots in the gun.

    I doubt my single shot would be a fight stopper, but that one shot could get you to the dropped magazine and put you back in the fight. Difference of opinion, I suppose, but I'll take absolutely any advantage in any conflict I can get. One bullet would be better than none. I don't get the positive. People store the gun with one in the chamber and no magazine? Not my show.

    Not attacking you; that feature just doesn't appeal to me.

    Understandable...and don't disagree.
