Default Any H&K Armorers in the Pgh area?

I recently bought a used Variant 2 USP Compact 9mm pistol and am looking to make it a Variant 1. I'm looking for an armorer that can swap out the current control lever for a new one that will be set up for a right-hander. I live east of Pittsburgh in Allegheny County so I'm looking for someone sort of close!

Buy the V1 lever and search the web for directions on doing it. It's a little tricky but I did this myself as I had a V1 that needed converted to V2. With a little patiance it's not that difficult.

If your not comfortable doing it I beleive Braverman has a qualified gunsmith able to do it.

Yeah, I've seen the videos on Youtube but I'm not so sure I really want to pull the gun apart myself and risk screwing something up. Glock pistols are simple to swap out parts but these seem a bit more complicated!

It's really not much harder than working on a glock. Especially what you want to do. It's really not worth paying someone. If you were near Washington I'd just do it for you in about thirty seconds. You don't even need to remove most of the parts, basically just the ones on the sear pin.

I did my own LEM conversion using online instructions. First attempt and it took less than 40 minutes. Now I could probably do it in less than 20. Really not hard. Try it yourself first. If you do it you'll be proud as hell. If you don't then you seek out an armorer.
