Default Hunting from a roof, legal?

My family owns a farm out in 5A, where the corn was just recently harvested, and while out there today, I saw one 8 point buck, and got reports from my dad about two more deer that crossed the field. The field has a tree line curtaining it, on three sides. I would set up in the tree line watching the field, but one direction it faces a road, and in the other two directions it faces houses. The last direction is looking up the field towards the mountain. We've got a couple buildings there that are tall enough that I can get good clear sight lines on the field, and it will allow for a level shot.

I've read through the Hunting and Trapping Digest, and the only thing I found involving buildings, is that I can not hunt near them without permission. Since we own the farm, and the buildings, I have permission to hunt near them.

I've got two questions, 1. Is hunting from/on a building legal? 2. Will PGC give me a lot of grief, if they stop in while I am hunting?

You would be fine. Just be aware of others safety zones.

Assuming you are 100% legal for killing said game, at said time of year, on said property, being on your roof makes no difference.

Unless it is the Post Office or something.

    Okay good.
Well, I have a valid junoir combo license, and Doe license. I'm going to use a Winchester Model 94 in 30-30, which I just sighted in at 100 yards. I have plenty of orange to wear to make sure I am seen. Finally, I am still a youth so I can shoot any deer, except for fawns but there shouldn't be any this time a year, and it'll still be a valid kill.

If I get that eight pointer I saw yesterday, I will defiantly be uploading photos.

Good luck on Monday.Be careful on the roofs this time of year as they can be very slippery.( Ask me how I know. )

It's not the fall that hurts, but the sudden stops.

Why wouldn't a fawn be a legal deer?

This reminds me of the year that dad got one from the dining room window. We were sitting there, eating breakfast before going hunting, when dad spotted one in the field beside the house. Dad slowly lifted the window and screen, laid a bead on the deer and shot it. Mom came running from the bedroom screaming...it was pretty funny as a kid to watch.

Mom sure was pissed about that, but enjoyed the meat from the kill.

Sitting at the dining room table definitely beats freezing your ass off.
