    Default 50 BMG coating issue?

I believe these are headed to the scrap pile, coating coming off, With pressures at BMG levels, if you used these, they would jam in barrel and blow like a whale?

Use them. I used stuff that looks a lot worse than that, never had a problem. At 2.00 each, ya better use'em

I can assure you that the condition those are in that it will not cause it to lodge in the barrel.

You can put the bullets in a tumbler to clean off the coating if it bothers you.

We have some World War I .303Brit on the farm where the bullets and the brass has a fine green patina on them. They are just as accurate as the normal looking stuff.

What you are probably seeing is galvanic corrosion between the alum tip and copper jackets.
The Hornday 50bmg Amax is lead core, alum tip, with copper jacket.
There is no way the coating is wearing off.

if you are going to scrap them, let me know and i'll pay the shipping.
