UTAH CFP: Online Renewal

can be renewed in person, online, or via US mail

cost $15 (plus a $0.75 convenience fee if you renew online)

fill out app, send a current passport quality photo, and,

**if Utah & your home state reconize or have reciprocity with each other, a copy of your current license/permit from your home state

I renewed mine online, November 3, 2012. Took about 10 minutes, would have been less if I knew I was going to need to supply my DL number. The last screen says I should have the new card in 2 to 4 weeks, a much better process and a lot quicker than my LTCF renewal last year in DELCO.



Today, November 10,2012, got the new CFP in the mail, expires 01/18/2018. I mention the expiration date because Utah renews based on the original date not the current date like PA. In other words I didn't lose any time. In PA if you renew early your expiration date is based on the new issue date so in effect you lose some time each time you renew..

7 days via online renewal, much much faster than renewing my PA LTCF was in DELCO.
