    Thumbs up Stubby's new store

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had the chance to talk to Stubby today at Valley Forge and he let me know that the new store is scheduled to open on January 13th. I don't know about anyone else, but I am going to try to give it a go.

I went to his website...his prices were high, so if he expects the support from the forum..perhaps he should offer a discount. JMO.

    Billamj,

What did you do in the AF? What bases where you at? I was Air Force 12 years - 1977 - 1989, then went to Desert Storm as a civilian advisor at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. I was F-16 Avionics in AF, and worked civilian radar in Germany and France ((Polygon). We simulated emeny SAM missiles and AAA for aircrew from German, French and American Air Force's. We worked with Intel in Desert Storm.

Any new gunshop deserves a visit, even if it is an hour or so away. I will definately check it out.

From what he told me, he hasn't heard from the Batmen yet so he will probably open sans firearms. He will be stocking his surplus and other lines though so it will probably be worth the trip. He did have LULA loaders for AR-15/M16s and they seem to have gotten as scarce as hens teeth. From what I saw overall, his prices are pretty much in line with other folks, some better, some not.

I too met Stubby at VG today. Nice guy.

For those who don't know his store will open on Jan 13, 2007. www.stubbygear.com He indicated a 10% discount for PFOA members.

Thanks for the free hat Stubby!

When I talked to him at the show today, he gave me a flier good for a 10% discount.

I probably won't get out to his store any time soon since I'm so far away.

I haven't checked out his sight yet, but I will this week.

Did you work around any PMEL (324X0) types?

PMEL - yeah, those were the guys living the high life in the backshop while we Avionics Scientists had to endure the elements. Or worse yet, spend 12 hours a day in a hardened shelter. We used to heat up our MRE's with F4 engine blast.
