Proper Glock grip?
I've done a lot of looking, but have only really found one clear and informative guide to the proper grip. I don't know that it matters, but I'm shooting a G19.

I don't want to create bad habits for myself.

Thumbs forward grip. Youtube or Google it, its the proper way to control a semi auto. When done properly it gives you the most contact surface........
Heres a vid for you, Brandon401401....

Re: Proper Glock grip?
The second post in that thread is how I grip any auto loading pistol, and it works well for me. Second knuckles overlap, thumbs forward, palms meet at the wrist, no finger on the front of the trigger guard.
I also like to square my feet so that my front is facing the target (not bladed.) And I lock both my arms straight at the elbow and push with my strong hand while pulling back with my support hand (not an extreme push or pull, but enough to have a firm hold on the pistol.)
There are probably better and more technical ways to explain this. In fact, that thread you linked to explained the grip quite well.

Placing your finger on the front of the trigger guard is no bueno.
Say what you will about Costa and Haley, but this video is well presented.
Also one from Paul Gomez.

Re: Proper Glock grip?
Thank you guys, maybe my searches were too specific to Glock grip as it's all I've got (and fired).
I'll update if I'm still shooting low/left next time I go out! Till then, I'll practice those methods!

Re: Proper Glock grip?
I've learned the low and left thing can be an "over" pushing of the right hand/wrist, through improper trigger manipulation or flinching/grasping type motions. Extend your arms out, get into your grip and push a little harder outward with the right hand. See where your barrel ends up?
When you have your grip down, focus on keeping your wrists square as well. Do a ton of slow methodical dryfire practice and you'll be surprised at how that low left thing stopsI always sleep with my guns when you are gone

Re: Proper Glock grip?
Low left is almost always too much finger on the trigger of a glock. Make sure your using just the pad of your trigger finger!

Re: Proper Glock grip?
Amazingly I recall reading to put MORE finger on the trigger.
Not on PAFOA.
I should just only read things here
