Default Starting a new job today.

Today I start a new job, about the same hours but better money, and easier work. I'm a truck driver, and I was doing HomeDepot deliveries, now I'll be shuttling trailers for Plastek, plant to warehouse, about 8 blocks!
The downside is it's nights, so I'll miss any weeknight shoots and get-togethers, the upside is I'll be available mornings and ALL weekend, where I used to work Saturday.
So if anyone wants a shooting partner in the morning, let me know.
Due to my schedule, Monday or Thursday/Friday only, Tuesday/Wednesday I get out at 7am and will need some sleep.

So that is why I didn't see your truck at H.D. this past Saturday.

Good luck with the new job!

    Thanks everyone.
It's not bad, as long as I'm busy, but when there's no trailers to move the time drags. Since it's nights, there's not much traffic to deal with.
It's great being off from Friday night at 11, until Monday night at 7.
I've lost 13 lbs already, just not eating fast food all the time. I take a banana, an apple, and some peanut butter crackers to munch on.
The truck has Serius/XM radio, so I've got a choice on what to listen to.

    Congratulations on the new job.

Just an FYI. If you are hitting any public roads even in an industrial park. Vehicles and trailers must be current on inspection, current daily inspection report with you, load secure and meet weight limit and if using a spotter trailer no over height and all air hoses attached.

One place I hauled out of ran between 2 buildings a block apart and the yard guy tipped over pulling in the drive when the forklift he had inside the trailer shifted. Fines were aver 3K cause he violated all the above.

Thanks. I'm concerned about that, but according to the boss, "since the trailers are marked storage they don't need to be inspected, or even licensed". I have debated calling DOT to verify. Most aren't, I write up the ones that need work, (mostly lights) to cover my butt. Weight is under 20k, so no worries there.

Basically, the company is a big fish in a small pond and isn't bothered by local LEO's.
