Am I allowed to get a license to carry if I had a DUI?

Hi everyone I was referred to this site from another forum because they said this
was the best site to get the info I need. I had a DUI about 12 years ago,took the ard course and supposedly it gets wiped from your record,my question is I just applied for a ccw in pa and was wondering if it will hurt my chances of getting approved. It was my only offense ever. Thanks for the help

As long as what you wrote is all there is to the story you should be fine. Don't mean to doubt you but folks have a tendency to "forget" details when it comes to things like this

I know what you mean by people forgetting things but its the truth. It might of haven been longer ago I was in an accident with a parked car no injuries,no jail time I even knew the arresting officer. I was just young and dumb.thanks for the input I have just been reading so many stories was just wondering if anyone had a similar incident

Probably won't be an issue, but since you have already applied, it is too late to worry about it.
You will learn the answer when the Sheriff gives you the answer.

I had two in relatively short order when in my mid twenties. Just picked up my LTCF yesterday If that's all of your story I'm guessing you should be GTG. Good Luck

Use these 2 links. Look up by participant name and only use your name and birthday. Then at the bottom for date filed use from age 17 date till today.

Good news I spoke to the sheriffs office I was approved and should see it by the end of the week. Thanks for all the help to everyone who replied

If the DUI was a M1 then no because it carries a longer possible sentence of over 2 years. If the DUI was an ungraded Misdemeanor or M3 then you could possibly get it.

Also, FYI, it is a License to Carry Firearms and not a CCW. This might seem like a minor point, but a PA LTCF allows you to do a lot more than simply carry a firearm concealed on your person.
