Hypothetical Handgun Legislation
The UFA, is less restrictive than quite a few states (i'm looking at you New Jersey). However, I was thinking about hypothetical legislation that would require all handguns to be holstered at all times (except at the range or in your home or vehicle), and no round in the chamber. The trade? Everything else is thrown out. Wanna OC or CC in Philly? Fine. Wanna drive through a school zone? Fine. No need for an LTCF, etc. etc.. A preemption clause would be in this legislation as well. So, if you were the governor, would you pass such a law? Would you veto it? Does that sound like a fair trade?
P.S. Yes, I know you still couldn't drive through a school zone according to federal law.
p.p.s The purpose of this inquiry is to get a sense of just how much sacrifice or compromise PAFOA members would be willing to make in the interest of advancing a PRO 2A agenda.Iconoclastic Individual Specimen

Re: Hypothetical Handgun Legislation
I'd support this, IF I was Israeli.
I'm not, so I do not. It might have a full magazine but without one in the pipe all you have is a club if your caught flat footed with your pants down.

Are the police allowed to "spot check" chambers?

Re: Hypothetical Handgun Legislation
NOPE.
The real gold standard would be a repeal of all laws regarding carrying, use, ownership or possession of firearms.

Re: Hypothetical Handgun Legislation
NO WAY.
what a ridiculous piece of hypothetical legislation. Again, like all gun laws, the criminals aren't going to care, and they surely will not wait while you load up.
