Re: Windgap Gun Show - Eagle Arms
Is this a decent show? I'm figuring on going here after I drop my wife off at the Tannersville outlets. Worth the time?

Re: Windgap Gun Show - Eagle Arms
I took my two girls down today after soccer games were over. We were there from about 1500-1700 hours. Although I normally love the Wind Gap show, I gotta admit, I was a little disappointed today. I did find a couple things that piqued my interest. There was a box of milsurp 8mm Mausers for something like $329. I don't know much about them so I passed on it. I was eyeballing a couple Makarovs and a pretty nice Star 9mm 1911, but I just put new front end bearings in the Jeep so I passed on those, too.
A couple things that irked me a bit. One, there weren't as many vendors this time. The room on the right as you walk in was closed. Only the main room was open. Two, I went down specificially to pick up a Finnish puukko knife from a guy that's always in the front room. Well, he wasn't there. I could live with that. What mostly irked me was the amount of flea market crap. There was more there today than I've ever seen.
On a brighter note, elder daughter ended up buying about $55 worth of different colored para cord and buckles for making bracelets for her little business. That landed her about 500-600' of cord and 50 buckles. A quick calculation and she figures that she'll clear about $30+ in profit after covering materials. Not bad for an 11 year old. That at least made it worth the trip.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Disappointed. Maybe 100 tables. Only 5 to 8 gun tables. I won't be going back. As a side note... there was probably more guns walking around the Tannersville Outlets then at the show.
