Smile Ltcf holder put on research to buy a handgun

I recently gotten my ltcf 3 days in and out .
I went to cabelas and they put me in a research status .
    I have firearms.
It's not my first handgun purchase by far ,but it is in pa .is this normal ?what is the turn around times ,they're talking 15days no criminal records couple of speeding tickets Tho lol.
I thought pa would be a smoother proccese like my ltcf .?

Crap happens. The computers could have been down at that very moment. Someone with a similar name could have gotten in trouble and the computer flagged it. Then the operator couldn't distinguish between you and the prohibited person, or if whatever charges/convictions are prohibiting.

If you know you have a squeaky clean past, then there is nothing to be concerned about. If you still get denied, you just challenge it.

It's not a matter of "harder" or "easier." The same backround check system is used for purchasing and for the LTCF, but they run a new search each time, and sometimes it takes longer to verify.

    Update :
I went to another place and over heard the conversation and they have me on delay status because they actually keep track of how many times a individual goes though pics and or nics .they stated I applied to many times ,
Now 5 of those times 2 were approved 3 are in research status .i intend to buy all of these .
I thought there's no limit to how many you can buy .
The place where I got my handgun didn't want me to purchase two firearms and said he didn't want to fill out the ATF paperwork .He had told me to go to another dealer and buy from him ?of course I left and went to two other dealers.
    And one today .
I called the psp gun department and research and they're explained that too many enquirys and slow down the procces .
What are your thoughts on this .

I think it is utter nonsense. I purchased 9 guns in 2 months, 3 on the same day without a hiccup.
