Blast Rocks Times Square...
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,335435,00.html
NEW YORK — An explosive device caused minor damage to an empty military recruiting station in Times Square early Thursday, shaking guests in hotel rooms high above.
Police blocked off the area to investigate the explosion, which occurred at about 3:45 a.m., shattering the station's glass entryway. No one was injured.
"If it is something that's directed toward American troops than it's something that's taken very seriously and is pretty unfortunate," said Army Capt. Charlie Jaquillard, who is the commander of Army recruiting in Manhattan.

He said no one was inside the station, where the Marines, Air Force and Navy also recruit.
Witnesses staying at a Marriott hotel four blocks away said they could feel the building shake with the blast.

I have never (and will never) understand why people do stuff like this. You've gotta be a real fucking idiot to think that blowing something up is going to do anything but make you look like a radical fool and make people despise your "cause" (whatever it is).

Re: Blast Rocks Times Square...
Call it what it is - Terrorism. Anyone that uses violence to coerce a population is a terrorist. This is domestic terrorism against the US Military. Period. Let the waterboarding begin...

Re: Blast Rocks Times Square...
Terrorism???? are u fukn kidding me????
it happened at like quarter till 4 am when noone was on the street and no personal was in the station then the guy fled on a bike.
id say it was some anti-war liberal. Real terrorists would have done it at 3:45 PM and used a bigger bomb. Not a little "bomb" that only took out a window.
I know with the patriot act we can all be charged as terrorist.
But i would hardly call this terrorism
The explosive device caused minor damage, and no one was injured, police said. The explosion shattered a glass entryway.

Re: Blast Rocks Times Square...
Whoa now, take a breather. It all depends on your definition of "Terrorism".
The Joint Chiefs of Staff define "terrorism" as follows:
terrorism: The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence
against people or property to coerce or intimidate governments or
societies, often to achieve political, religious, or ideological
objectives. (JCS Pub 1-02)
