RIA 1911 9MM parts compatability
Looking at trading in a Ruger P95PR15 with Blackhawk holster and 2 15rd magazines and 2 17rd Mecgar magazines for a RIA 1911 in 9MM.
What upgrades are available for the RIA? Id like to get the A2 model if its still available.
Also, whats a realistic trade in value on the Ruger/with accessories and box/manual?Hold the Line...

Re: RIA 1911 9MM parts compatability
All parts in RIA 9mm 1911 is compatible with any other mil spec 1911 in 45cal(except barrel, slide, ejector, extractor, and mags)
Only other thing I could think of is that if you buy a tactical 9mm 1911, their sights are NOT standard novac cut. they just look like it.
By the way, if your gonna buy RIA 9mm 1911, go buy your self a bunch of Springfield/Metalform 9mm mags. and thank me later.

As far as your trade is concerend, I would sell it out right as trade in value is NEVER as much as you think it shouldLast edited by Mity2; August 31st, 2012 at 11:46 PM.

Re: RIA 1911 9MM parts compatability
I wound up going with a RIA 1911 45 tactical instead . Gang at LGS talked me into it.
After 10 payments at $40 a pop, I'll be able to bring her home.
I'm looking to sell the P95PR with 2 holsters, Fobus mag holders, 4 mags, 9mm dies, brass, bullets and ammo. Getting out of 9mm and going to 45.Hold the Line...
