Beretta M9
I have a 25th anniv. M9 that I purchased new about a year and a half ago. I just recently started putting rounds through this gun and noticed the slide would not lock back on empty. Both magazine do this. But if I insert an empty mag and pull the slide to the rear it will lock back.
Any ideas on this? I was thinking maybe bad springs or followers in the mag?

Re: Beretta M9
This, limp-wristing, or hand loading powder-puff loads that don't have the power to cycle the slide.
If you have a reasonably firm grip, limp-wristing is out.
To rule out riding the slide release, fire the gun left handed. If it works, you know you have to modify your grip.

I guess I should have pointed out I am a lefty. And I can rule limp wresting out. I shoot all my other pistols very well.

456 - And if that don't work buy 124 grain ammo or +p 115 grain ammo. WWB 115 fmj box of 50 were giving these same results in another thread. They fired well but the last round didn't have enough energy to lock the slide back.
Beretta usuauly works when others fail, but not this time.

Re: Beretta M9
I have one after-market magazine that does this (my only stainless mag-works great for testing my "flinching") but the other dozen or so mags work normally in my 92.

It's a magazine problem. Are they Beretta or after market mags you are havin trouble with?
Take the slide off & and put empty mag in & see if it pushes the slide release up."343" Never Forgotten
