Tax Everything !
What Happened?
At first I thought this was funny...then I realized the awful truth of it.
Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.
Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.
Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he Tries to think.
Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries, then Tax his tears.
Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways To tax his @*#
Tax all he has Then let him know That you won't be done Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers, Then tax him some more, Tax him tillHe's good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.
Put these words upon his tomb, "Taxes drove me to my doom..."
When he's gone, Do not relax, Its time to apply: The inheritance tax.

and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest
middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What happened?
POLITICIANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(or rather what we let them do in our names).
And I still have to "press 1" for English

Re: Tax Everything !
Very nice. And this is so true.
==============
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”
~Samuel Adams
"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it."
~Thomas Jefferson, 1791

Re: Tax Everything !
That is one of the things that irks me more than anything. Actually what really upsets me is when I have to press 2 for English. Or press here for English, when I am at the ATM.
I about got beat one day at Wal Mart. I was walking through, had the wife and all 3 kids in tow. Walked past this family of non-American born people speaking in a non-American language in a non-quiet manner. I politely, in a stern way, a little too loud, said: Welcome to America, now speak the damned language. I got a couple of evil looks. Course, had a few grins on other people's faces.

Don't forget the "occupational privellege" tax!
Guns are like shoes...a woman should have one in every caliber.
I'm armed and menopausal...Excuse me, did you have something to say?
