Default Valley Forge Gun Show Question

There is a gun show at the Valley Forge Convention Center on Friday - Sunday. My question is this -- I now work in King of Prussia so I am considering stopping by the Gun Show Friday after work rather than making the 55 mile round trip drive on Saturday AM. I have never attended a show on Friday. If you have attended a VF show on Friday, could you please tell me if all of the vendors are setup and open for business. Are there any reasons NOT to attend on a Friday rather than Saturday. I think that I read somewhere that the admission fee was a dollar or two more but that is way cheaper than paying for the gas for the Saturday drive back to KofP.

I hope this isn't a stupid question. Thanks.

The entry fee is almost doubled on Friday ($15 I think). The crowd is far smaller than the other days, but I'd say about 20-30% of the vendors were either not there (empty tables) or setup but their stuff was covered.

I went on a Friday last year.

I've never been on a Friday, but the price is $6 more at $15. I would say the advantages would be you are amongst those who have first peeks and dibs on anything, but I would imagine that maybe not all vendors are set up or are setting up. Of course, it would also be less crowded, which is another plus.

Somehow stay the night if you could is what I would do.

Sunday morning is the best time for me. Thin crowds and the vendors seem more eager to make a deal then.

Since the gun shows have not had any deals on ammo for the last couple of shows, it pays to order it on line.

Paying more money for less vendors on Friday makes no sense to me. Plus, you have to deal with the rush hour traffic that is horrible in that area.

I made the mistake of going on a friday once... once

many of the vendors are not set-up... or have a cover on their goods.

If going for a deal... sunday seems to work well... but you can have slim pickins... Sat AM or (if the vendor is there) Friday = best pick of the litter.

    Sat AM = BUSY!
