CC in Banks
What is the legality of CC inside of a bank? Or say a Federal credit union?

Re: CC in Banks
Awesome thanks, I had a person (democrat). Tell me that CC in a bank was illegal and punishable by up to two years in the state prison if caught, I thought she was full of it now I know she is!

Re: CC in Banks
You would however be in violation of federal law if you carried on land/property owned or rented by the federal government. Therefore, be careful if that federal credit union occupies space owned or rented by the feds.
I carry in regular banks in Pa all the time.Last edited by jack76590; March 4th, 2008 at 05:09 PM.

Re: CC in Banks
First I stand corrected it is merely just a credit union, and second off if that is a round about way of encouraging someone to break any laws no matter how idiotic they may be is not for me. But I do also see what you are saying. Here is another thing. Say I go to dinner at Applebees or TGI Fridays, they serve booze but I do not drink am I in violation of any laws?

Re: CC in Banks
No. No law against carrying in establishments that serve/carry alcohol.
Please see the "stickies" at the top of this forum:

Re: CC in Banks
While there are no laws regarding OC or CC in banks I try not to make a habit of it. Just one of those places I'm alittle more aware of, if you know what I mean, as well as restaraunts. I have CC'd in both with no problem so far though. first time in a bank was when I was withdrawing 10K to pay a contractor. Carying that kinda cash you bet I I'm gonna carry.

Re: CC in Banks
Interesting. Of all the public places that are prone to armed robbery, banks and restaurants have to be near the top of the list.
Why would anyone pay someone $10,000 in cash? Beside yourself, who knows you are carrying that kind of money? Did the teller give you badge so that everyone would know?Never underestimate the value of early training.
